Fred P. Kimes, 85 of Farm Ridge Twp passed away Tuesday (November 15, 2022) at Heritage Health, Streator.
A visitation will be held Saturday (Nov. 19th) from 10:30 am until12noon at the Grand Ridge Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday at noon at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Andrew’s Cemetery, Farm Ridge Twp.
Serving as pallbearers will be Kurt Barry, Rick, Zac, Marty and Adam Hanson, Davie Ramirez.
Fred was born on February 20, 1937, in Streator to Oscar and Virginia (Peck) Kimes.
Surviving is sister-in-law Mary Ann Kimes of Grand Ridge and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Ralph and Howard, sisters Jean Lindmark and Virginia Margaret Hanson.
Fred graduated from Ottawa High School in 1956. He retired from custom farming in the Farm Ridge Twp. and the Bradley Auction Service. Fred was affiliated with St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
Memorials may be made in his name to either the Grand Ridge Fire Department or Streator Ramp Builders.
