Republicans hold majority on LaSalle County Board

Republicans will keep the majority on the LaSalle County Board after nine contested races for Election Day. One of the biggest wins for Republicans was Stephen Aubry, who beat Board Member and former LaSalle County Board Chairman Jerry Hicks in the 22nd district. Republican Incumbent Joanne McNally beat Independent Stephen Carlson in the 1st district. In the 9th district, Republican Ray Gatza beat Democrat Carolyn Moore. Democrat Joe Oscepinski Jr. kept his seat by beating Republican Glen Pratt in the 10th district and Democrat Joseph Witczak won the 11th district by beating Republican Rick O’Sadnick. Democrat Pamela Beckett won the 18th district by beating Lloyd Chapman. William Brown Jr. will represent the 16th District after beating Joseph Panzica Jr. Republican Ron Blue kept his seat he was appointed to by beating Fred Nimke. Democrat ic Incumbent Mike Kasap beat Crystal Loughran in the 12th district.
