Democrat Lauren Underwood will remain in Congress. She beat Republican Scott Gryder for the 14th district race with more than 123,000 votes to around 107,000. Gryder told us Underwood should be on alert that nearly half the voters don’t like her stance. He calls her agenda extreme far left and says she should moderate her tone.
We didn’t get a return call from Underwood. Her district represents northern LaSalle County.
In the 16th district, Republican Darin LaHood won with a huge margin over Democrat Lisa Haderlein. That district covers southern LaSalle County.
