Illinois Valley Community College is trying to make it easier for students to enroll and stay enrolled. Finance Aid Director Eric Johnson says about 2,400 students will get about $750 back for enrolling in the fall semester. The money is coming from $1.8 million in federal emergency COVID relief funds. The college is also giving out $100 gift cards, while supplies last, to students who pay or will pay their tuition by December 15th, which could be used for bookstore purchases and for food service. Also, students taking more than fifteen hours of classes your tuition could be waived. IVCC Pres. Jerry Corcoran says more students are discovering what a tremendous value the institution is.
