The Ottawa City Council’s getting head start on ordering body cameras for the city’s police. The city doesn’t have to have them until 2025 under the Illinois SAFE-T Act. But with so many things on back order everywhere, City Hall wants to place the order now. The council this week approved a $463,000 purchase from Axon Enterprises.
