Update: Rock County Sheriff’s Capt. Mark Thompson says three people were allegedly involved in the police chase from LaSalle County over the Wisconsin state line. They were arrested in Clinton and taken to the Rock County Jail.
Two people were arrested in Wisconsin after a hunt along Interstate 39 from LaSalle County to Rockford and then on other highways past the state line. A person driving south of Tonica reported being shot at yesterday evening. State Police looked for a suspect vehicle and reported being shot at north of Mendota. The search continued to Clinton, Wisconsin a little north of the state line. That’s where two people were arrested. Interstate 39 in the Mendota area was closed for a time last night while police searched for the suspects and investigated the case.
