Current COVID case count goes up in LaSalle County for the first time since July

For the first time in 14 weeks, the current COVID case count in LaSalle County has gone up. The county health department reported Friday, there were 178 new cases and 115 recoveries since last Friday. The number of current cases climbed from 876 to 939.

The department says a woman in her 70’s died of the virus during the last week. That brings the fatal case count to 496. LaSalle County is still in the low or green level for community spread.
