An Oglesby fire fighter of 45 years died suddenly Tuesday. The fire department posted a message saying its members are mourning the death of Randy “Red” Kellett. He was a truck driver. Kellett was a fire fighter for all his adult life.
Kellett earned the department’s Fire Fighter of the Year award in 2015. A department message says everyone else is mourning the loss of a good friend, a good fire fighter, and someone they all looked up to. His funeral will be this weekend at Hurst Funeral Home.
