The Illinois Valley Community College theater department is getting ready to put on its first major musical in three years. It will be MAME! It’s the story of a woman who lives an extravagant lifestyle in the Great Depression and World War II and how things change when her nephew comes to live with her. IVCC will put on eight performances next month from November 10 to 13 and November 17 to 20. It’s already selling tickets for reserved seats and will sell tickets for $15 per student or $22 for others at the door.
