A fiber internet company in southern Illinois wants to come to Streator. City Manager David Plyman says Clearwave Fiber wants to build a business to provide fiber internet. They are already providing service in areas like Carbondale, Marion, and Belleville. Plyman says this could be a very valuable service and would be a big deal for the city. The construction would happen over the next one to two years.
