Seventy books from the Penguin Random House Who Was series are being prepared to go on the shelves at Reddick Library. The Ottawa Sunrise Rotary club donated them for the Rotary district’s “Nothing Reads Like a Book” program. Rotary Nathalie Schmidt says after raising the money and buying the books, it was a joy taking them to the library.
The books introduce grade school age readers to famous people including sports stars, authors, inventors, political figures, musicians, business people, and explorers. Schmidt says the library already had some of the books but was missing at least a year of them.
