Ottawa’s city council says three culverts will be enough to let water flow under Green St. The city’s having the street raised so it can stay open during floods. City Engineer Tom Duttlinger says with the decision last night, the designers can get into specific details in time to put the project up for bid in February. He wants construction to get started as soon as possible after that so it’s done by the November 2023 grant deadline.

Green St. is one of only two ways in and out of the east side.
