The Salvation Army is asking for gift certificates and items for gift baskets for a silent auction. The fundraiser will be from noon to four Saturday, November 12. Lt. Wayne Strayer says it’ll raise money for the Pathway of Hope program, which is teaching 56 families skills to break the cycle of poverty. These are tough times for those providing and getting charity.
On the same day as the auction, the Salvation Army will start its Red Kettle campaign to fund other programs.
