Six year old Parker Van Gelder didn’t want to talk much at Ottawa’s main fire station yesterday. His mom, Jennifer, feels he will when he’s ready. The visit was part one of the Make A Wish Foundation making his wish come true. Parker wants to be a paramedic.
Part two of his wish is to go to Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. That happens later this month. Jennifer is sure her son will talk then.
Parker’s family looks forward to him defeating a brain tumor and having memories a long time from now of what Make A Wish arranged for.
