A woman suffered smoke inhalation and went to a hospital after a house fire in Ottawa yesterday afternoon. Everyone else who was home was okay.
Fire Chief Brian Bressner says the fire had an accidental cause. It caused heavy damage in a bedroom. The fire was in the 1500 block of Sycamore St.
Some fire trucks and an ambulance were parked on Norris Dr. That required traffic control for a while yesterday afternoon.
Help came from the Wallace, Naplate, Marseilles, and Grand Ridge fire departments and from the Marseilles and Utica ambulance services.
