One person is facing attempted murder charges after a shot was fired at a Tri-County Drug Enforcement Narcotics Agent in Streator. Trident says an undercover agent was trying to purchase MDMA from 20-year old Courtney M. Perkins of Streator in the 1100 block of N. Park Street Thursday. After a car pulled up, 26-year old Alaina J. Cravatta of Streator allegedly met with the agent and sold the drugs. After the agent identified himself and started to make the arrest Perkins allegedly walked into the area and fired one shot at the agent and Cravatta. Neither was hit. Perkins allegedly ran away down E. Bronson Street for about a block before being caught by a K9 unit and arrested. He also allegedly tried to get rid of the gun while running. Perkins was given a four million dollar bond and will be back in court in October. He had his first appearance Friday. Cravatta was given a one million dollar bond and charged with aggravated discharge of a firearm and unlawful delivery of a controlled substance. The incident is still under investigation. Illinois State Police is helping with the investigation.
