The Illinois Valley Chamber of Commerce is looking for nominations for an initiative called Forty under Forty. Executive Director Bill Zens says anyone can nominate people who are age 39 or younger  before December 31st and are making a difference at their jobs or while volunteering. He says if you know people who have had a major impact while working or volunteering, they are eligible to be nominated.

Zens also says this will promote how many younger entrepreneurs are doing business in the tri-county area.

Residents in LaSalle, Bureau, and Putnam counties can make the nominations. Zens says he’s hoping for hundreds of nominations to pick from. After they are picked, the chamber will have a dinner to hand out different awards to the forty people chosen. Nominations are due by Friday, October 14th.
