The number of COVID-19 cases in LaSalle County has dropped for the seventh week in a row. But the virus is blamed for another death.
The LaSalle County Health Department says there were 149 new cases since last Friday and 224 recoveries. The total number of cases is 33,960 with 32,705 recoveries. That leaves 1,255 current cases.
A woman in her 80’s lost her life to the virus. That makes 488 fatal cases in the county since the pandemic started. This was the second week with a fatal case after a five-week run with none.
