The city of Ottawa is getting a $75,000 state grant for an economic recovery plan. The state’s announcement says the plan will focus on downtown residential development and short-term rentals. The city’s one of 42 grant recipients across Illinois in the RISE, or Research in Illinois to Spur Economic Recovery Program.

Another recipient is North Central Illinois Council of Governments. It’s getting $150,000 for a broadband plan.
