Residents who live within ten miles of the LaSalle Nuclear Power Plant are asked to fill out an information card if you need assistance leaving the area in an emergency. The cards were sent in the mail by Constellation Energy. People with who have trouble seeing, hearing, or have a hard time moving can fill out the card and then return it in the mail. The information could also help residents if they need medical attention after an evacuation. The company says the information is confidential and will only be given to public safety agencies.
These are the questions that the card will have a person with disabilities answer if they need help in an emergency evacuation.
