Ottawa City Hall and Hitchcock Design Group have about three weeks to put together the grant application for redesigning Allen Park. The grant application is due on September 29th. A preliminary plan was presented at City Hall last week. Andy Howard with Hitchcock Design Group says it will be updated with the public’s input and updated again if the city gets the grant.
Projects can get up to $750,000 in funding through the state’s Open Space Lands Acquisition and Development grant program. The same program funded the sledding hill at Allen Park.
