Third District Appellate Court judges will not hear the case of LaSalle County Republican Central Committee versus County Clerk Lori Bongartz after all. The LaSalle County Republican Party has withdrawn their appeal. This comes after now former States Attorney Todd Martin became Judge Todd Martin. He was appointed after Judge Joe Hettel was appointed to the Third District Appellate Court. The political party had claimed that Bongartz had botched the election results in November 2020.
