Some of the skydivers at Skydive Chicago this week have been training for world record attempts for many years. Sriraj Rajaram, or “Raj”, of Woodinville, Washington learned parachuting at Skydive Chicago in 2006. So helping set a new vertical formation dive world record has extra meaning to him.
In the 16 years since Raj started skydiving, it’s become easier to train. He says there are skydiving camps now and vertical wind tunnels for what’s called indoor skydiving don’t let you practice parachuting but help you practice freefall longer.
