For the third week in a row, the LaSalle County Health Department reports no fatal COVID-19 cases. The number holds at 486 of 33,193 total cases for a local mortality rate of 1.46%. During the last week, the county logged 226 new confirmed cases and 259 recoveries. That makes three weeks in a row for the current case count to drop. It’s at 1,488 as of Friday’s report. And the county is back down to the medium or yellow community spread level.
