Police are looking for a 25-year old Peoria man accused of dealing meth, running into a LaSalle County deputy with a vehicle, ramming a Streator police car, and running away after a drug bust. This is what Streator area residents were alerted about on their cell phones early last evening.

Jerome Alexander, Jr. is described as a black man standing five-foot-eight with long dreadlocks. The LaSalle County Sheriff’s Department says he was wearing a red shirt and blue jeans. Another person with him was arrested last night.

Anyone who spots Alexander is asked to call police right away. The sheriff’s department says the deputy who was hit had a minor injury.

Peoria County jail records show Alexander was in jail over the weekend on charges of domestic battery, unlawful possession of a firearm, property damage, and resisting a peace officer. He was let out with a notice to go to court. His court record includes battery and drug cases going back to 2013.
