The Mendota train depot was evacuated Sunday afternoon and police boarded an Amtrak train bound for California. Forty-one year old Baird Douglas McNeil of Tallahassee, Florida was arrested on a disorderly conduct charge. Mendota police say he upset other passengers with a claim that he had a gun, although he didn’t. After his arrest, passengers were allowed in the depot and on the train again, and the train resumed its run after 40 minutes.
