Two police officers from Europe got to see how policing is done in a small city in America. Officers Elisabeth Dengler and Heinz Petternel are from Vienna and work for Austrian State Police. They were in Ottawa, Illinois Wednesday and were assigned to ride on patrol with officers Matt Najdanovich and Steve Hopkins. Local businesswoman Inga Carus arranged for the visit. The Austrians were in town for a family reunion.
