Some organizations claim they didn’t know about LaSalle County having $21 million in pandemic relief funding to give away until it was too late to apply. So the board yesterday reopened the application process with an August 19th deadline. Chairman Don Jensen says he’s also heard from people who didn’t know.
Also yesterday, the board tabled a request to fund school resource officers to look more into how many the county’s rural schools should have. And it rejected a request for $800,000 in medical studies scholarships because of uncertainties about how much is really needed.
