Streator Republican LaSalle County Board member Jerry Myers cast the only vote against allowing deer hunting at Catlin Park. He thinks the county will be in trouble if someone gets hurt.
Hunters have been allowed at the park before. Ottawa Republican Arratta Znaniecki sees no problem letting them return.
The park will be closed for other uses during hunting. Details will be worked out.
