An Oglesby resident asked about getting a sewer bill credit for watering a lawn. The city offers a credit for filling a swimming pool. The rationale is that the large volume of water that’s billed for won’t go to the sewer plant. So, the sewer charge which is linked to the water charge should be reduced.
City Council members talked last Monday about whether a homeowner could use a temporary water meter attached to a lawn sprinkler to figure out how much water was actually used. They didn’t make a decision.
