For the first time in four weeks, current COVID-19 cases in LaSalle County went down. Also recoveries outnumber new cases for the first time in more than a month. The LaSalle County Health Department says there are currently 1,573 cases which is twenty less than last week. There were also no fatal cases this week, so the total remains at 486 so far. It also means the county has a 1.4% mortality rate right now.
The health department reports 257 new cases this week for a total of 32,722 cases so far. There were also 277 recoveries for a total of 31,149. The county remains at the medium level for COVID-19 community spread.
