Bowling alley reopens after three-year closure with new name

Parker Whiteaker bowled the first strike after The Alley opened Thursday, just three frames into his game. He bowled two more strikes in the game. His grandmother, Gail Whiteaker, says Parker loves bowling and it’s good to be back where Pinheadz was. It closed in 2019.

Owner Matt Peterson says his family has never run a bowling alley before, but decided to take a chance when the building was up for auction last year. He says there’s a new roof and floors and other repairs were done. And his manager has already lined up bowling leagues to use the lanes.

The Pinheadz sign will be gone soon. The new owners are calling their business The Alley.
