Taste of the Illinois Valley returns to Peru for second consecutive year

For the second year in a row, Taste of the Illinois Valley is returning to Centennial Park in Peru. It this Thursday and Friday from 4pm to 10pm and Saturday from 11am to 10pm. Parks Director Adam Thorson says there will be a variety of local food from throughout the valley.

He also says the event will have more activities for kids in what is called the Fun Zone. He says it double the size of what was it was last year.

He says will be other entertainment from four which are abbynormal, Alika Arlynn Band, Regal Beagle, and Creedence Revived. There will also be a craft vendor fair on Friday and Saturday. Peru Police Lieutenant Doug Bernabei announced parking restriction for the events. That includes:

West Street: no parking on either side from 11th St to Shooting Park Rd
Grant Court: no parking on either side from 11th St to the dead end
11th St: no parking on either side from West St to Grant Court
12th St: no parking on the south side from Grant t to Putnam St
13th St: no parking on the north side from Peoria St to Putnam St
14th St: no parking on the south side from Peoria St to Putnam St
15th St: no parking on south side from Peoria St to Putnam St
Putnam St: no parking on the west side from 15th St to Shooting Park Rd
Plum St: no parking on the east side from 14th St to Shooting Park Rd.
Rock St: no parking on the east side from 14th St to Shooting Park Rd
No parking allowed on Centennial Dr
No parking allowed on Centennial Rd
