Two Oglesby police officers who were shot at in December 2020 were given special recognition last night. Police Chief Doug Hayse honored officers Jack Barnes and Evan Duttlinger. They checked out a recreational vehicle suspiciously parked at Illinois Valley Community College. A man who answered the door shot at them, stole a squad car, and ran away after crashing it. He was eventually arrested and found not guilty by reason of insanity.
