Harriet L. Quandt, 86 of Streator passed away Friday (July 29, 2022) at the Ottawa Pavilion.
Visitation will be held Wednesday (Aug. 3rd) from 10 am until 12noon at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at noon at the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be, Frank and Cole Martin, Logan and Adam Sauers, Gene and Don Harsted, Jim Hombaker and Owen Muntz. Honorary pallbearers will be, Greg Sauers, Katie, and Kaylee Martin, Jax and Elara.
Harriet was born on October 18, 1935, in Pontiac to Marvin and Mary (Cooper) Harsted. She married Donald Quandt on October 12, 1963. He preceded her in death on August 16, 2015.
Surviving are daughters, Kathy (Greg) Sauers and Kris (Frank Martin both of Streator, grandchildren, Logan (Nicole Campbell) Sauers, Adam Sauers, Katie, Kaylee and Cole Martin, great grandchildren, Jax and Elara, brothers, Gene (Pauline) Harsted of Wenona and Don (Mary Lou) Harsted of Grand Ridge, sister-in-law Helen Harsted of Streator and several nieces and nephews.
Harriet is preceded in death by her parents, husband Donald, sister Deloris Harsted.
Harriet graduated from Streator High School in 1953, she was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Harriet retired from Dr’s Mattioda and Dr Chen medical office in January of 2021. She worked at the Streator Medical Clinic overs 50 years. Harriet enjoyed watching her grandchild playing sports, their dancing recitals and attending plays.
