Weekly COVID statistics: current cases climb in LaSalle County fourth week in a row

LaSalle County remains at the medium community level for COVID-19 spread, but the number of current cases has gone up for the fourth week in a row. County health department figures out Friday show 1,593 current cases after 274 new ones and 212 recoveries. And the virus claimed another life for 486 so far in the county. A woman in her 80’s died of it. The tally so far is 32,465 cases and 30,872 recoveries.
