Illinois Valley Community College President Jerry Corcoran says the school is in sound financial shape. The proposed budget for the next school year predicts $37.5 million in revenue and $39 million in expenses. The difference would be covered by funds on hand already for projects being paid for during the next year.

One of the big revenue increases brings in $4.1 million in COVID relief funds. And there’s $4.5 million more in expenses because of COVID relief spending.

The IVCC trustees will hold a budget hearing on August 18. You can see the proposed budget at this link.
