A Streator woman accused of making a false police report in Ottawa was in Judge Cynthia Raccuglia’s courtroom Thursday after being arrested on a warrant from November last year. The now 36-year old Sarah Chandler was given a new trial date for October 24th. She is out on bond again.
Chandler was charged with disorderly conduct last year after police say she claimed she had been kidnapped from a place on Ottawa’s north side and held for ransom at a house west of the city. Police say surveillance cameras from the area Chandler said it happened didn’t show anything like that.
