Witnesses told the Ottawa Fire Department, a lightning strike caused a fire in the attic of a house at Heritage Harbor yesterday afternoon. The home owner wasn’t there. No one was hurt. Ottawa fire fighters put out the fire with a water hose. In case it became a bigger fire, the Marseilles, Wallace, and Naplate fire departments were called for help at the scene. The Grand Ridge Fire Department sent fire fighters and Utica sent ambulance personnel, both to staff the fire station until Ottawa’s personnel returned.
