It was an Ottawa man who was found dead in the Fox River in Ottawa Tuesday. LaSalle County Coroner Rich Ploch says it was 63-year old Jeffery M. Asbell Sr. He was found in the area of Jefferson and Columbus Streets. An autopsy was completed Wednesday but results from it are still pending. The incident remains under investigation.
