Last night Josh Harrison homered and drove in three runs as the White Sox topped the Angels 11-4 in Anaheim. Harrison had a pair of hits and was one of seven batters with multiple knocks in the victory, including Yoan Moncada, who made his first start since returning from the injured list. Johnny Cueto picked up his second win after allowing three runs over six innings of work. The South-Siders have won two of three to improve to 35-and-38.
A late Cubs comeback came up short in a 5-3 loss to the Reds at Wrigley Field. The North-Siders scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh to make it a two-run game before the bats sputtered out in the final two innings. Nico Hoerner had three hits in the losing effort, and Keegan Thompson was tagged with his third loss after giving up four runs in six-and-a-third innings.
The Cubs have dropped two of three to fall to 28-and-46. Justin Steele starts for Chicago against Cincinnati tonight.
The Cardinals put up four runs in the fifth inning and held on to clip the Marlins 5-3 in St. Louis. Dylan Carlson drove in a pair of runs including a go ahead RBI-double in the fifth for the Redbirds. Dakota Hudson tossed five innings of three run ball as he moved to 6-and-4, and Ryan Helsley closed it out for his sixth save.
St. Louis has won three of its last four to improve to 43-and-34. The Cardinals are in second place in the NL Central, just a half-game back of Milwaukee. They’ll go for the sweep of Miami when Andre Pallante takes the mound tonight.

The Chicago Fire will try to get back in the win column when they take on Philadelphia Union at Soldier Field tonight. THe Fire are coming off a 2-0 loss to the Houston Dynamo on Saturday.
Tony Bradley will be back with the Bulls next season. The team is exercising his contract option for next year. The option will pay the 24 year old center two million dollars. Bradley started seven of his 55 appearances with the Bulls last season.
The top tennis players in the world are clashing on the grass courts at Wimbledon. On the men’s side, Rafael Nadal and Stefanos Tsitsipas each advanced with four-set wins. On the women’s side, Serena Williams fell in her return to the court as she was ousted in three sets by Harmony Tan.
The U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team defeated Columbia 2-0 in an international friendly match in Utah. Up next for the U.S. Women is a meeting with Haiti on the Fourth of July in Mexico.
