Scott Gryder is the winner of a five-way Republican primary in the 14th Congressional district. He’ll go up against incumbent Democrat Lauren Underwood.
The district will cover northern LaSalle County.
In the 16th Congressional district, incumbent Republican Darin LaHood is the winner among four candidates. He got two-thirds of the Republican votes. LaHood says voters need to elect strong Republicans throughout Illinois, take back Congress, and fire House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for good. No Democrats ran in that district’s primary.
