The Ottawa Elementary School District could receive a grant to have epinephrine pens available for students who don’t know if they are allergic to something. Board Member Mark Fischer says the Illinois Association of School Boards made the recommendation for all schools to have one.
Supt. Cleve Threadgill says he hopes that at least one can be in every building after a physician approves it. The school board will vote on it at the next meeting.
