Ottawa finds two buses for NCAT

By WCMY News Jun 18, 2022 | 4:46 AM

North Central Area Transit can get some new buses after all. Ottawa City Commissioner Wayne Eichelkraut says someone in this area who owns two buses built in 2019 bought them to sell to someone in Alaska. But that deal never went through. Meanwhile, NCAT is working hard to keep its old buses going while it’s a nearly two-year wait to get new ones.

The city will pay $55,000 each for them. Eichelkraut says two won’t be enough to start new routes, but NCAT will have more buses to use while others are out for repairs.
