The Morris man accused of obstructing a peace and battery at the Etna Rd. Courthouse in Ottawa last year says he’s ready for trial. 29-year old Jacob Farmer will be back in court next Tuesday for jury selection.

Farmer and his sister Angel are accused of trying to bring in their cell phones inside the courthouse which allegedly caused a scuffle with security.

Assistant State’s Attorney Jason Goode shared some more evidence Wednesday with Farmer that will be used against him so he can try to refute it during the trial. Farmer is representing himself in the case.

Farmer could have gone to trial earlier. But after prosecutors added two more charges against him, he was given more time to look over them.
