The Union Depot Railroad Museum in Mendota will have a Railroad Day festival Saturday from 10am to 4pm. Museum president Alan Russell says people can get into the railroad museum, the barn, and the chapel for free. There’ll be a street train for kids and kids games from long ago.
For a fee, you can ride behind a speeder car, which was used for inspecting rails.
Volunteers will tell people about each train car.
Some cowboy reenactors will be there and could stage a train robbery.
