LaSalle County Recorder of Deeds Karen Miller says about 30 businesses in the county are registered with the Honor Rewards program. They give discounts on some merchandise and services to veterans who’ve proven that they’ve served.
Thirty doesn’t sound like a lot, but Miller says there are many more businesses that offer veteran discounts. They just haven’t all signed up for the program.
Discounts vary from business to business. It’s up to each business to decide how much to offer, on what, and when.
Veterans and businesses interested in Honor Rewards can find out more at the Recorder of Deeds website.
