Many of the cabins that burned at Grand Bear Resort Monday had no permanent residents. One investor says his guests spent the holiday weekend there but left by 11 Monday morning. However, Sheila and Mike Brombosz were living in their forever home. They sold their home of 40 years in Bolingbrook four years ago and moved to Utica.
Sheila says they bragged about living in such a nice setting with an amusement park nearby. She says don’t give up on Grand Bear.
The Bromboszes have a family member to stay with and were calling doctors about prescriptions and insurance agents about coverage Tuesday.
