Norwegian breakfast and cultural celebrations part of museum’s season opening

Norwegian culture will be celebrated next Saturday, starting with breakfast at the Norway Community Building. It’s $10 for children and $20 for adults, in advance, or $5 more at the door. Other events will be at the Norsk Museum for the season’s opening day.

President Dave Johnson says there’ll be several Norwegian activities including stitching and rosemaling (rose design painting). There will also be traditional celebratory Norwegian clothing.

Johnson wants to get back to the fundraising it takes to keep running the museum. A big goal this year is building a farm building called a stabbur to complete the dream of the late Norsk Museum Board member Roald Berg.
