Elementary school students in Ottawa and Marseilles have the chance to swim for free during the summer if they were good students. They can attend a free swim event at the Marseilles pool on Memorial Day from 11:30am to six.
Marseilles Recreation Board VP Rebecca Mello says make sure kids bring their last report card. For every A a student gets in a primary subject on their last report card, they can earn a free swim pass.
Normally it would cost five dollars to get into the pool. She says the recreation board is very excited to work with Ottawa to host events like these. There will also be food served at the event.
